Many of the common problems neuro-ophthalmologists deal with involve either the optic nerves or the extraocular muscles. Many of the common symptoms of patients who see a neuro-ophthalmologist include double vision, loss of a section of vision in one or both eyes, unusual visual phenomena, light sensitivity, headaches, squinting or droopy eyelids, unequal pupils, and vision loss of unknown etiology.
